She found her way to me, courtesy of my daughter, three days ago, and only now am I realizing why she struck such a chord. I’ve always loved Fragonard’s "Young Girl Reading." A print hung in a childhood friend’s room. There’s no signature and since I do believe there are only three degrees of separation, do tell—who created this work? I realize this painting is unlikely to be a lost masterpiece, like the recently found Jacob Lawrence panels. But to my mind, she’s priceless.
