David Duchovny said he felt somewhat displaced in Vancouver, where he had relocated to shoot The X-Files. So it was only natural that we bonded over chatter about our hometown of New York City and our shared educational backgrounds. He went to Collegiate and I attended Brearley, like his future wife Téa Leoni, plus we both went to Yale.
